The spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk has once again been transformed into a two-kilometre long temporary sculpture park featuring more than 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world for the annual Sculpture by the Sea .
This is Sculpture’s 16th year and the free event has grown and developed from a few small sculptures dotted on Bondi Beach to an event that attracts thousands of visitors each year.
This year visitors can scan the QR code in the exhibition catalogue central map or look out for the audio tour A-frames and feather banners throughout the exhibition site to download a free audio tour of 18 sculptures in the exhibition.
There are also free artist talks in Marks Park each Saturday and Sunday hosted by art commentator Henry Mulholland. Each session will run for 10-20 minutes every day, with approximately four sessions per day on the weekend between 11am and 2pm.
In the past few days the exhibition has successfully weathered some huge winds and has coincided with many sightings of whales and dolphins cruising along the coastline.
Sculpture by the Sea runs from Thursday October 18 to Sunday November 4.
